Street photography Project Part 2

In the class, we select 15 pictures among all the pictures that are taken. Some of them are my favorite shoots.

A shot is not worthy of sharing just because YOU took it- Nick Turpin

I personally believe today’s fast-produced pictures are quite bad. Most of the pictures are unnecessary to put them on internet because they are not worth to see again. As social network becomes too popular and everyone has smart phones, people take most pictures without any consideration. I really feel it is only worth when the shoot beats your heart as I say this earlier ago.  I hope this is quite important that clean up pictures when you upload them online to whatever social network you want to use. I have to say one million time that editing is too important.

So, I suggest everyone to do this: Please edit the pictures that you take most of time!

There is a creative fraction of a second when you are taking a picture. Your eye must see a composition or an expression that life itself offers you, and you must know with intuition when to click the camera. That is the moment the photographer is creative. Oop! The Moment! Once you miss it, it is gone forever.

"Let us edit photos!"

Reading this week’s lecture note from Nick Turpin at ‘Edit Edit Edit' , he says only 1%  of 'street photography' is worth seeing. Editing photos is an important process to select best photos over all.

There are some tips that Nick Turpin mentions at ‘Edit Edit Edit’.

  • - The best street photographers get only a handful of ‘keepers’ from a year of shooting.
  • - A shot is not worthy of sharing just because YOU took it.
  • - You know it when you see it, if it doesn’t make your heart leap, move on, it won’t get better the longer you stare at it.
  • - Street Photography has been around for 150 years, try and avoid the cliches
  • - Learn from the pictures you reject

Great street photos are worth seeing because they have frame, composition, background, history, story, and emotion of elements. Thus, let us edit photos and pick best ones for the goods. Editing is not always fun, but it is amazing to see how a photo can beep your heart again.

Chance is the one thing you can’t buy. You have to pay for it and you have to pay for it with your life, spending a lot of time, you pay for it with time, not the wasting of time but the spending of time.
